TWO local charities have found a new home in Helensburgh after the Advertiser reported that the lease was about to expire on their town centre premises.
The Argyll and Bute Third Sector Interface (TSI) and the Visiting Friends project will move from their current base in Colquhoun Square to a first floor office at 101-103 East Clyde Street, above Helensburgh Subaru, on March 14.
The charities have shared the Colquhoun Square office since Visiting Friends became independent of the TSI in 2016, and became a charity in its own right in May 2018.

Visiting Friends trustee Ian Davis said: “We are really pleased to have found super new office premises above Helensburgh Subaru.
“Not only are we delighted that we are maintaining our close connections with the TSI but we are also looking forward to our new association with local business Helensburgh Toyota and Subaru.
“We are keen to welcome all our existing and potential new volunteers to this great space.”

Kirsteen Murray, the TSI’s chief executive, said: “Conversations we have with the third sector organisations we support, including those through our central telephone line, are often sensitive, and should always be confidential.
“The new office provides private space for this, which is a real improvement on our old office arrangements.
“The new office is also close to the many projects we support under the 1000 Voices Banner. We are especially delighted that we have been able to continue to be co-located with Visiting Friends, with whom we have long-standing working relationships.”
