PARKLANDS School in Helensburgh received the perfect Christmas gift when the MacLennan family popped into the school with a cheque for £1,700.
The family participated in the 26-mile Wilderness Challenge and decided to donate the money to Parklands as their youngest daughter attends as a pupil.
They raised just over £1,000 and the Wilderness Challenge donated the additional £700.
Head teacher Gwen Gilmour, said: “In Parklands School many of the pupils enjoy working on the computer however many find it difficult to navigate a keyboard.
“With the introduction of a touch-screen, our pupils can access programs much more easily and develop skills in many areas.
“We hope to purchase an additional three desktop computers with touch-screen monitors. This will have a huge impact on delivering the curriculum in a more accessible manner and we cannot thank the MacLennans enough for the donation.”
