PUPILS at a Helensburgh school helped raise thousands of pounds recently with a Christmas craft fair.
Hermitage Primary’s “amazingly fun and festive event” on Friday, December 7, raised more than £2,500 with stalls selling handmade goodies, a raffle, silent auction and plenty of home baking.
Tamara Brown-Milberg, vice-chair of Hermitage Primary’s parent council, said she was thrilled and delighted with the support from children, parents and the school.
She added: “Highlights included performances by the Margaret Rose Highland Dancers, many of whom are children at the school, the Bethesda Christmas Singers and a very special visitor in a magical grotto.
“Every child at the school contributed to the event with each class selling handmade wreaths, stave candle holders, “snockmen”, baubles, gingerbread men and more - a huge thank you to all the teachers and support staff for their help in making these amazing creations and for their part in raising so much money for the school.
“The Christmas fair was a tremendous success and all the money raised goes directly back to all the children at Hermitage Primary School.”
