Today's Archive Hour winds the clock back to August 14, 2003 and our reporting of the Faslane Fair.

A TOTAL of £25,000 was raised for local charities at this year’s Faslane Fair — and organisers say it was the most successful ever.
The event in June attracted over 20,000 people and as a result five different local charities — Knowetop Farm in Dumbarton, the Clyde Sail Trust, Clyde View Residential Home, Enable and the Tullochan Trust — will benefit.
Chairman of the organising committee Commander Bill Jones said: “We are delighted to be able to hand out £25,000 to our five chosen charities, all of which are local and worthy causes.
“However none of this would have been possible without the financial backing of our sponsors, BNS and IMES, and our heartfelt thanks go out to them for their unyielding support.
“We would also like to thank the public who came from miles around to enjoy this year’s Faslane Fair — our most successful ever.
“It is a testament to them that we were able to raise the record-breaking sum that we did.“
