A HELENSBURGH restaurant’s fifth triumph in a row at the Scottish Hospitality Awards has been recognised at the Scottish Parliament.
The town’s constituency MSP, Jackie Baillie, tabled a motion praising the achievement of staff and management at La Barca in West Clyde Street, who won the prize for ‘Best World Cuisine’ at last month’s awards – the fifth year running they’ve scooped the award.
Owner Cara Nikolic said: “We are delighted to be recognised for our achievements in the Scottish Parliament.
“Jackie Baillie said the award is testament to our excellent food and welcoming atmosphere which is praise indeed.
“The staff have all read the letter and it’s a fantastic pat on the back for them to have their hard work acknowledged nationally in the Parliament.
“Lots of our customers and regulars have said it was well deserved and brought their Advertiser in to show us last week’s story about our five in a row win.
“We have been extremely busy since and will looking forward a nice busy summer serving all our regulars and visitors to the town.”
