THE volunteers working on the creation of a new mental health hub in Helensburgh have been praised at the Scottish Parliament.
A motion by Conservative MSP Maurice Corry, who represents the West of Scotland region, “applauds the work that has gone into refurbishing the building that will house the facility, and looks forward to seeing the work that Jean’s Bothy will do in serving the community”.
The work of volunteers from the ‘Branching Out’ project, which aims to improve people’s mental health by getting them to experience the great outdoors, featured in the Advertiser on April 19.
The hub, on the corner of East King Street and South King Street, will operate as a partnership between the Argyll and Bute health and social care partnership, community groups and service users.
