HELENSBURGH Savoy Musical Theatre Group are able to donate more than £1,000 to CHAS thanks to another successful charity event.
The annual Sing for your Supper event saw a selection of local performing groups volunteer their time to entertain the audience and help raise funds for such a worthy cause.
Taking to the stage were the Peaton Pealers, Hermitage Academy's Ukulele Band, the Margaret Rose School of Dance, the Helensburgh Oratorio Choir, Lomond and Clyde Community Orchestra, the Helensburgh Dorian Choir, Helensburgh and Lomond Fiddlers, the Claire Burns School of Dance, Tartan Harmony, the Helensburgh Savoy Musical Theatre Group themselves, and JAMM, consisting of Jacqui King, Alicia Tindal, Maggie Rogers and Margaret Sakulina.
Helensburgh Savoy extended their thanks to those who gave their time to perform and made donations and to those in the audience who supported the 22nd year of 'Sing For Your Supper' by buying raffle tickets and programmes.
Thanks were also extended to Alex Malcom, from Children's Hospices Across Scotland, who attended and made a speech about the work of CHAS.
The support on the night means that CHAS, Robin House will receive a donation of £1,100.
CHAS is the only provider of respite and end of life care for children and their families, in Scotland.
At the moment CHAS can only reach one in three of the families across Scotland who need their care and support, but the funds raised at events such as Friday's concert go towards much needed specialist nurses, doctors, carers and equipment in order to create happy memories in the charity's hospices and family homes.
