PEOPLE in Helensburgh are being asked to support a donation day for the area's food bank on Thursday.
Young people from the GIVE youth volunteering programme are holding their annual donation drive for the Helensburgh and Lomond Foodbank on July 27 and will be out and about in the town between 10am and 3pm encouraging shoppers to buy items which can be added to the food bank's stock.
Donations of non-perishable items such as UHT milk, sugar, tea, coffee, cooking sauces, pasta, rice, baby food and tins of fruit and veg are particularly useful.
The HQ for the donation day is Helensburgh Parish Church, where items can be dropped off between 10am and 3pm on Thursday.
