HENDRY - John At home on 5th January 2023, suddenly but after prolonged illness. John Hendry, formerly of Denholm Ship Management and Anglo Eastern Shipping Companies, beloved husband of Pat, dearest father of David and Steven, of the late Fiona Hendry and the late Elizabeth Lane. Much loved grandpa to the family, especially Caitlin and great grandpa to Lily. Funeral service to take place at Cardross Crematorium on Monday 23rd January at 2.15pm, to which friends are welcome. No callers please.

Sailed with John on Cast Narwhal (previously Nordic Conqueror). Just searching past shipmates and very sad to see John has passed. He was a stand out in my development as a marine engineer. He had a high tolerance of the immature adolescent but had unique managerial skill to get the best out of us if he saw hope of progression. I'll be raising a glass to him. He'd understand.
