I am terribly saddened by this news. I have collaborated and worked with Toby on multiple occasions. I will never forget all the times he inspired and motivated me, and all those around him. I remember one particular conversation where he told me I should one day visit the Guardswell Farm, near Dundee, and that this was one of the most beautiful places he has been to. I have no words Toby. All I can do is say Thank You, and how privileged I am to have crossed paths with you. YL

I am terribly sorry to hear about Toby's passing. He was an incredibly kind and positive person and I was lucky to have met him at a crucial moment of my life, we shared so many good times and laughs, though we didn't see each other for the last few years, we re-connected earlier this Summer and we chatted about coming to visit him in Scotland.

I am very sad he's gone so soon, but at least I saw him one last time, and I will always remember him and treasure all the moments that we shared together.

My deep and sincere condolences to his family and his two sons specially, which he always had the best words for, he was a loving father and a good friend. He will be desperately missed. RIP Dear Toby, I will never forget you.

I am deeply saddened by the news about Toby. I knew him from his work at Virgin Money where Toby was the designated credit director for the team I ran.

Toby was a core part of our team and played an absolutely critical part in the success of that team. He was everything you could want in a credit director. He was approachable, open minded, confident in his own thoughts and commercial. Without doubt he was the best and most effective credit director I worked with in the 15 years I was at the bank.

I can provide no higher compliment than by saying the whole team viewed him as an extension of the team. He will be desperately missed.

My sincere and heartfelt condolences go to his family and his friends.
